An Exceptional Evening Celebrating 10 Years of Lavorel Hotels
On July 10, 2025, Lavorel Hotels celebrated its 10th anniversary in an extraordinary setting: the Château de Bagnols, a medieval gem dating back to the 13th century and listed as a historical monument, nestled in the heart of Beaujolais. Fully restored and added to the Lavorel Hotels collection in 2012, it now embodies the refinement of a five-star hotel, blending medieval architecture, French gardens, and contemporary touches. A sumptuous setting to celebrate an extraordinary entrepreneurial journey.
For the occasion, 250 guests – employees, partners, loyal clients, and journalists – were invited to an evening marked by sharing, excellence, and emotion.
The musical ambiance was provided by Anne-Gaëlle Vigneron and Céline Dos Santos, two artists with remarkable voices who delivered an elegant and intimate performance. The evening continued with DJ Philippe Corti, who entertained guests late into the night with a refined and festive music selection.
A Meaningful and Committed Speech
The evening began in the inner courtyard. At the opening of the event, Jean-Claude Lavorel spoke to warmly thank his loved ones – his children, his partner, as well as Charline Bresse, CEO of the group – and all the employees who bring Lavorel Hotels to life every day.
It was also an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past ten years:
In 2024, Lavorel Hotels recorded a turnover of €91.3 million. The group includes 10 properties, a river cruise company, a vineyard estate, and today has 1,120 rooms and 650 employees, all driven by the same commitment to quality and passion for service.
Jean-Claude Lavorel reaffirmed the group’s founding values, emphasizing that people remain at the heart of every project, and that kindness continues to be one of the pillars of the company culture.
Finally, he proudly announced the creation of the Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation, launched in June 2025. This philanthropic initiative is dedicated to two major causes:
The fight against cancer, through a partnership with the Léon Bérard Center, including the organization of a charity dinner to support research and care.
Child protection, in collaboration with the association Ma Chance Moi Aussi, by hosting events to offer moments of respite to vulnerable children.

The rest of the evening allowed guests to share warm and joyful moments in a setting blending history and contemporary elegance. The event ended on a high note with a spectacular chocolate éclair tower, met with applause from the guests. A delicious and symbolic finale, reflecting the group’s image: ambitious, generous, and profoundly human.

A few weeks before the celebration, Jean-Claude Lavorel appeared on the cover of Lyon People magazine, in a special issue dedicated to the art of living and premium hospitality. This feature highlighted the group’s iconic properties – particularly the Château de Bagnols – and his distinctive vision: a balance between heritage luxury and contemporary boldness.
