Lyon, 10 June 2025 – Jean-Claude Lavorel, Chairman and CEO of the Lavorel Hotels Group, today officially announces the creation of the Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation. This personal initiative marks a significant milestone in the societal engagement of this Lyon-based entrepreneur, centred around two major causes: the fight against cancer and the protection of children.
For many years, Jean-Claude Lavorel has actively supported charitable initiatives through his hotel group, both in Lyon and other regions. With the Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation, these commitments now benefit from a structured framework, designed to last and to generate tangible impact. The ambition is clear: to support human-centred projects that are meaningful and aligned with the urgent needs of our society.

Centre Léon Bérard : active support for this leading cancer centre, notably through the organisation of a charity dinner in aid of research and patient care.
Ma Chance Moi Aussi : hosting events for vulnerable children, offering them moments of joy and respite.
Noël Ensemble : co-organisation of a community Christmas Eve dinner at the Marriott in Lyon, to break the isolation of elderly people during the festive season.
2500 Voix : commitment to tackling paediatric cancers through a partnership with this association, especially during their annual charity dinner.
SapoCycle: partnership with this European hotel soap recycling initiative, which turns waste into hygiene products redistributed to families in extreme poverty.
In addition, the Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation offers occasional support to initiatives led by organisations such as Handicap International, L’Enfant Bleu, Wine Charity Event, and Café Joyeux, an inclusive enterprise based in Lyon.
