A Lasting Commitment to Causes for the Future
Jean-Claude Lavorel, Chairman and CEO of the Lavorel Hotels group, has launched the Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation, a personal initiative dedicated to two key causes: the fight against cancer and the protection of children. This foundation marks a new phase in his humanitarian and social commitment.
For many years, through the Lavorel Hotels group, Jean-Claude Lavorel has been actively supporting solidarity-driven initiatives in Lyon and beyond. The creation of this foundation formalises, structures and strengthens these efforts, with the aim of supporting concrete, long-lasting and deeply human projects.

Our Mission
The Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation is committed to supporting projects centred around two main areas :
Fighting cancer : by supporting research, prevention, and patient care.
Protecting children : through initiatives aimed at improving the daily lives of disadvantaged children.
Concrete Actions
Driven by strong values of solidarity and commitment, the Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation collaborates through regular and one-off partnerships with committed organisations:
Centre Léon Bérard : We actively support this leading cancer centre in Lyon by helping to organise their charity dinner—an essential event for raising vital funds for research, treatment, and patient support.
Ma Chance Moi Aussi : Because every child deserves to grow up in dignified conditions, the Foundation works with this association by hosting events for children in difficulty, offering them moments of respite, sharing, and joy.
Noël Ensemble : Every year, we co-organise this inclusive Christmas Eve celebration at the Marriott, dedicated to isolated elderly people. A warm and festive moment to help break the loneliness during the holidays.
2500 Voix : We support this association in its fight against paediatric cancer, notably through active participation in the annual charity dinner, which helps fund research and improve care for young patients.
SapoCycle : Since 2018, we have partnered with SapoCycle, Europe’s first organisation specialising in recycling hotel soaps for humanitarian purposes. The collected soaps are entirely recycled under strict bacteriological control, turned into hygiene bars by people with disabilities, and distributed to vulnerable children and families. This initiative fully embodies a circular economy approach—reducing waste while improving hygiene for those in need.
In addition to these ongoing commitments, we also support one-off initiatives in partnership with recognised organisations such as Handicap International, L’Enfant Bleu, Wine Charity Event, and Café Joyeux—The first inclusive café-restaurant, established in Lyon.
