At the heart of this remarkable success story is Jean-Claude Lavorel, a visionary entrepreneur who turned a flourishing career in the medical sector into a passion for hospitality, now elevated to a true art of living. In 1989, he founded LVL Médical Group, a leader in home healthcare services. By 2008, he took his first step into the hotel world with the acquisition of La Potinière restaurant in Courchevel 1850, which he transformed into the 5-star Les Suites de la Potinière. In 2012, he sold his medical business to fully dedicate himself to the world of luxury hospitality.
His strategy has always been built around a thoughtful selection of exceptional locations—places rich in history and character—where architecture and service come together to offer far more than just a stay. The group has since curated a collection of prestigious hotels, including Le Chabichou and Le Grand Hôtel Courchevel, both symbols of excellence and refinement. These gems are joined by Le Palace de Menthon on the shores of Lake Annecy, the majestic Château de Bagnols in the Beaujolais region, and Le Grand Pavillon Chantilly, near Paris.
